Beto Franco

Born in Belo Horizonte, on 1941. After graduating from Colégio Loyola, started a Metallurgic Engineering course and worked in the cultural segment of the Students Central Directory, funding PUC's Cine Club. His relationship to music took him to Diamantina's Festival, where he could observe Kurt and George's workshop.

In 1982, was invited by Galpão's funding members to participate in “E a Noiva Não Quer Casar”, but his process of adhering to theater was slow. Only later when the touring of “A Esposa Muda” demanded a definitive choice from him, is that Beto fully embraced the acting profession. Due to the inherent complexity of the profession, both his musical training and his engineering skills were demanded in the plays productions', scenarios' and the groups' general daily work. Beto took part in the many workshops done by Galpão, having acted on most of the groups' pieces.

On television, took part on specials where Galpão also participated, and on cinema, acted as protagonist in “Negócio da China”, short-film by João Vargas Pena. Is the President-Director of Associação Galpão.
