Chico Pelúcio
Francisco Paulo Maciel Pelúcio, Chico Pelúcio, born in 04/25/1959, graduated on Administration and Accounting Sciences by PUC-MG, and specialized in Cinema on IEC – PUC MG.
Member of Grupo Galpão by 1982 and creator of Galpão's Centro Cultural Cine Horto in 1998, where he has always played the role of General Director. Was one of the creators of Baependi's Cante Conte Festival in 1980, and that goes on until today. President to the Clóvis Salgado Foundation – Palácio das Artes, on 2005 and 2006.
Actor and theater director, has acted on most of Grupo Galpão's productions and has directed the piece “Um Trem Chamado Desejo”, in addition to many pieces by Cia Burlantis in BH and Galpão Cine Horto's Oficinão, amongst others. Alongside directing the opera “A Redenção Pelo Sonho” by Tim Rescala in Rio de Janeiro, has also signed, in São Paulo, the direction of Circo Roda and the piece “Pagliacci” by Cia La Mínima, which rendered him the Riso Award of best direction on 2018 and several nominations as Best Director in São Paulo.
As an actor on TV, has participated in Rede Globo's series (“A Cura”, “Sob Pressão”, “Pedacinho de Chão” and “Bilhete Premiado” ) and on cinema has acted in films such as “Depois Daquele Baile” and “Mão na Luva” by R. Bomtempo, “Flores Raras” by Bruno Barreto, “Joaquim” by Marcelo Gomes, amongst others.
As a film director, has directed two short-films (“Uma Breve História de Viagem” and “Flor Minha Flor”) and the long-length documentary “Primeiro Sinal – A história do Teatro em Belo Horizonte dos Primórdios até 1980” ("1st alarm - The history of Theater in Belo Horizonte from the first rays up to 1980"), all in partnership with Rodolfo Magalhães.
