Inês Peixoto
Actress, director and dramaturge, born in Belo Horizonte in 1960. Joined the University Theater (TU) in 1979. On 1981 migrated to the Clóvis Salgado Artistic Formation Center (CEFAR), where she professionalized. Holds a BFA in Cinema and Audiovisual (Media) by UNA. Has worked in pieces from local producers, such as Alisson Vaz and Márcio Machado. Worked as producer and actress in "Casablanca, meu Amor", directed by Yara de Novaes. Integrated the performance band "Veludo Cotelê".
On 1992, after participating in a series of workshops promoted by Grupo Galpão, was invited to join the montage of "Romeo and Juliet", by Gabriel Villela. Since then, she became an integral group member, taking part in the following pieces: "A Rua da Amargura", by Gabriel Villela; "Um Molière Imaginário", by Eduardo Moreira; "Partido", by Cacá Carvalho; "Um Trem Chamado Desejo", by Chico Pelúcio; "O Inspetor Geral" and "Um Homem é um Homem", both by Paulo José; "Pequenos Milagres", by Paulo de Moraes; "Till, a saga de um herói torto", by Júlio Maciel; "Eclipse", by Jurij Alschitz; "Os Gigantes da Montanha", by Gabriel Villela and "Outros", by Márcio Abreu. On Cinema, has acted in many movies, amongst them "Vinho de Rosas" and "O Crime da Atriz", by Elza Cataldo; "5 Frações de Uma Quase História", by Criz Azzi; "Outono", by Pablo Lobato; "Tricoteios", by Eduardo Moreira, Rodolfo Magalhães and Criz Zago; "Os Filmes que Eu Não Fiz", by Gilberto Scarpa; "Revertere ad Locum Tum", by Armando Mendz; "Moscou", by Eduardo Coutinho; "Entre Vales", by Felipe Barcinski; "Quase Memória", by Ruy Guerra; "Redemoinho", by José Luiz Villamarin , "Todas as Tardes" by Diogo Cronemberg, "As Duas Irenes", by Fábio Meira.
Has directed in partnership with Rodolfo Magalhães the medium-length "Para Tchékhov". Assembled the documentary "Portunhol". Directed the Webseries "Quarentemas" in partnership with Gilberto Scarpa and Éder Santos. Directed the short-film "Método", one of the winners of the 6th BDMG Cultural Award for Stimulus to low budget short-films, 2020.
On the Theater, has directed the pieces "Vexame", "Arande Gróvore", "Doida", "Bumm", "Tempo de Águas" and "Cidades dos Sonhos". On Television has participated on the special "A Paixão Segundo Ouro Preto", by Rogério Gomes and Cininha de Paula; in the miniseries "Hoje é Dia de Maria" and "Hoje é Dia de Maria- Segunda Jornada", by Luiz Fernando Carvalho; "A Cura", by Ricardo Waddington; "A Teia", by Rogério Gomes; Soap Operas: "Meu Pedacinho de Chão", by Luiz Fernando Carvalho, "Além do Tempo" by Rogério Gomes, "O Sétimo Guardião", by Rogério Gomes. Was bestowed with 12 awards for her acting in theater and 3 awards for her acting in cinema.
